Contrast-was drawn to the original color contrast in the photo

I first uploaded the original photo to Camera Raw and made some color adjustments. I brightened it up and added a slight vignette.
Then, using the art history brush tool to blur the background, I increasingly got more detailed on the face of the giraffe. I wanted it to look like the giraffe was poking through either the clouds, water, or maybe even a different dimension!
