First Week
Ideation
Tell us about your assignment's idea for this week. Why do you care about this idea? What were you inspired by?
our assignment's idea was to use the softwares of the prusaslicer and laserworker to maekthe final projectconstruction part by the 3d printer and laser cutter
it inspired me to make some shaped can't be
Tool Chain
Which software/machines/materials did you use this week? Why?
I use prusaslicer to change 3d model *stl file into file can be readed by the 3d printer G.code file using prusa i3 MK2 3d-printer machine
material is PLA black color
I use lazerwork to convert dxf file of the logo in to file can be import to lazer cutter
using wood MDF 3 mm material in the lasercutter machine in the fablab
Design Process
Explain the design process of your assignment. How did you use the tool/software to design and/or simulate your assignment?
AT THE 3D PRINTER
We download a model from thinigiver a 3d model then import it to prisaslicer and change filling of the model and the material of the 3dprinter used to (PLA) adding some support in some places then convert it to g code
AT THE LAZERCUTTER
Downloading DXF file of San3a logo and import it in the laserwork then change the layers by colours and change it's power and speed by cut required is (65 power-25 speed) and scaning requirment is ( 25 power -65 speed) cuttinh in wood .
Fabrication/Implementation Process
Explain the fabrication/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?
At the home downloading the model from thingiver
import it to prusaslicer
change the option of material and filling precentage
checking any needed support
make slice then check the amount of grams and time required
export g.code file
In the fab lab we have to preheat the nozel to change the material (the filement)
then we upload the G.code in the memory card of the machine
then import it to the machine
AT the home import the dxf file to laser worker
change the power and the speed of the colours of the cut and scanning
export it ti the laser cutter
In the fab lab we check again the colors and the power then click save and danload it to the machine
then e have to check the orgin of the machine and change it's (0.0) point
then e choose load file and choose the name of needed file to be cut
Community of Learning
Did you ask for feedback? What are the ideas that others have contributed or suggested? What was someone else’s idea that you built upon? How did you help your peers? How did your peers help you?
all parts i printed by 3d printer was sticked together so my friend help me to fix it and we use some tools from the fab lab
Overcoming Challenges
When you got stuck, what/who did you turn to? At what point did you have to pause to research or learn more before moving on? What are some mistakes, pitfalls, or challenges that others can avoid if they were doing this project?
sharing how to make support in some critical place in the 3dmodel with my friends by sharing videos illustrat it
Final Project
How can you use the skills and knowledge that you've acquired this week in your final project?
For creating the structure of the final project
It is very important to bring the 3dmodel in to the reality by the 3d printer and the laser cutter using software like (prusasliser and laserwork)
WOW!
What is the coolest thing that you've learned this week? What is something that you will never forget from this week?
the coolest thing is how to manage the laser cutter and change it's orgin point and using it
Weekly Digest [OPTIONAL]
Tell us about any other cool things that you've made this week: Pre-activity, examples, exercises, or any mini-projects.
