One aspect of the Binghamton Ballroom Dance Association is our competitive team. Most of us joined with no dance experience whatsoever, regardless, the team will teach you everything you need to know! Our instructors are our fellow team members who have learned from those before them as well as professional dancers. They have the desire to pass their knowledge down to help the team to grow. Learning to dance is hard work, with practices nearly every day, but it happens while having fun, making great friends, and learning something new! With team bonding events like Big/Little Brunch, Olympics, and more, we've all become a close-knit team. You'll have no trouble finding us at a competition; not just because we're looking great on the dance floor, but on the sidelines, you'll hear us cheering each other on, shouting out numbers and sporting our Binghamton team jackets. We all joined wanting one thing--to dance--but we have gotten so much more.
If you'd like to join our team, come to our tryouts at the beginning of each semester. Team members are required to practice four hours per week and attend two competitions or performances per semester. If you have questions about the team, please contact our Team Captains at bingballroomteam@gmail.com.
If tryouts have already passed this semester, no worries! Check out our club, and we hope to see you at tryouts next semester!
