Binghamton Ballroom Dance Revolution 2026
The Binghamton Ballroom Dance Revolution is the Binghamton Ballroom Dance Team's annual collegiate competition. Featuring all 4 styles and all skill levels, from Newcomer to Open, we welcome all dancers who want to show off their hard work and dedication by performing on our floor.
This year's competition will be held Saturday, March 21st, 2026.
Registration is open now! Early registration ends February 20th: https://dsco-bing26.web.app/
Each competitor is welcome to register in every event in each style. However, a competitor is considered ineligible for a given event if either of the following is true:
The competitor has timed out of a particular level. A competitor may only compete as a newcomer if less than 6 months have elapsed since the first competition in which they competed newcomer. In addition, a competitor may only compete in Bronze if less than 1 year has elapsed since the first competition in which they competed bronze. No other levels have time-out rules.
The competitor has accumulated 7+ YCN points in the majority of dances in an event at a particular level.
To calculate your YCN points, please use the following calculator: https://ballroom-calc.streamlit.app/
Double registration is permitted in the Syllabus levels. Competitors may not dance up more than one level (i.e. registering for Gold and Silver is allowed, but registering for Gold and Bronze is prohibited), and they cannot dance down in any Syllabus level.
Dancers are allowed to compete in both Syllabus and Open level events if they choose but must follow the registration rules in regards to the Syllabus level events (i.e. no dancing down)
Couples must dance at the level of the higher competitor (i.e. if the Follower is Bronze, and the Leader is Silver, the couple must dance at the Silver level and have the option of double registering to also compete at the Gold level, if they so desire).
Syllabus events are open to all competitors.
There are no gender restrictions on couples.
Syllabus
Competitors should follow the ISTD syllabus for International styles and the NDCA syllabus for American style dances for Newcomer, Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels.
