ETL - Kempston Hammers

Our third Eagle Travel League of the Winter was played on Saturday 11th November. Chris, Frank, Martin and Danny lined up against a team from Kempston Hammers.

As you can see from the scorecard, we were well beaten by a very strong team from Kempston Hammers Even though we fought hard, we struggled to get to grip with the pace of the green. In fact both teams struggled; the Hammers woods were generally not that near to the jack, it was just that our woods were a bit further away.

The game was mainly dominated by Kempston, with three ends around the half way point we dropped two consecutive 5's and then a 4 - 14 shots dropped in 3 ends. 

Even though we tried hard, Kempston eventually won the game BTBC  6 - 27  KHBC

Next game is against our friends from Bedford Priory. We will now go into a spell where we get a game every week until the Christmas break so hopefully that will help the squad.
