ETL - Shefford

Our nineteenth Eagle Travel League of the Winter was played on Saturday 30th March. 

Frank, Brian, Martin and Tony I. lined up against a team from Shefford, who are sitting mid-table. 

Quite an interesting game occurred this morning. To say the first ten ends didn't go well is a thorough understatement, especially as the score at the 2nd end was 8-0. By the half time break, the score was 2-20 to Shefford.

Everything changed after the tea and coffee break, as we gained control of the 2nd half. Our quartet turned the tables, and manged to pick up 13 shots across 4 consecutive ends, including picking up a 5 on the 13th end. 

Unfortunately for us, on the final end, Shefford bowled three very close touchers out their first four woods, and try as hard as we could, we only managed to remove one. This meant that we unfortunately lost the game. 

The final score was BTBC  19 - 23  SBC. 

Our final game is against Ampthill on 13th April. This will be followed by a buffet lunch and the Presentation of the Trophy to the league winners (which could still be any one of four teams.)
