ETL - Bridgeman's

Our tenth Eagle Travel League of the Winter was played on Saturday 20th January. 

Les, Brian, Terry and Martin, lined up against a team from Bridgeman's who we drew against in our previous encounter.

Things started well for our quartet as we picked up three shots in the first two ends. Bridgeman's settled into the game, and by the fifth end, we were narrowly losing by 2 shots - 3-5. We then produced a good run in which we picked up 16 shots over the next eight ends without reply to sit 14 shots ahead with only five ends left to play. At the half-time break, the score was 5-9, and by the 13th end, the score was 19-6. The remaining five ends saw Bridgeman's collect three shots compared to our four. The final score was BTBC  23 - 8  BBC

We were extremely happy with the result, as this was the first game that we had won in 7 weeks. Looking at various games that were played at the same time, it looks as though we could climb two or three places up the league table, which would make all of us feel a bit better.

We now have a a week off, but on the 3rd February, we will be playing against Mowsbury Park.
