How I have been prepared

This organization gives me an amazing opportunity to prepare myself for college and my career path. This program is focused on helping out with elementary students. I am getting teaching experience before I go to college to become a teacher. It has taught me many different ways to teach kids because I learned that some kids learn much differently than others. The two boys I work with are two completely different learners and I had to adjust and learn how to teach them both. I have learned signs of many behavioral issues with young kids and how to address them properly in and outside the classroom setting. I have also had great help from my peers who do this program with me throughout my experience. When I first heard about this program I knew it would be a perfect fit for me. I love to help out as much as possible and this was an excellent opportunity. I got to help the students and use this as a learning opportunity for myself in the future. When I was younger I always looked up to all the older kids, especially the ones who helped me learn and grow. I hope now with me in this program I give the kids I work with someone they can look up to. I am honored to have the opportunity to be a part of this program and I am so thankful I signed up when I did.
