This website will be decommissioned September 30th as we switch to our new Battalion website
The beginning of secondary education in Blythewood can be traced back to the early 1900s. Originally, this small town had two schools; they were closed in 1970, and the students were all transferred over to Spring Valley High School. 13 years later, at Blythewood High School, we are continuing to enrich the lives of many students.
Committed to the mission of “Motivating Young People To Be Better Citizens,” our cadets have participated in numerous community events. These include roadside cleanup for the 2 miles of road in front of the school, Veterans of Foreign Wars Buddy Poppy Flower Collection, several performances by our drill team and color guard, and successful battalion inspection where we earned the classification of Honor Unit With Distinction. Bengal Battalion is one of the best around. We have an amazing leadership team composed of dedicated individuals who are willing to help shape and grow the Battalion as a whole!
