Hello! I am c/LTC Annika Stears and I will serve as the Bengal Battalion Commander this year. I am a senior at Blythewood and this is my fourth year in JROTC. I have been on the Rifle Team since my Freshman year and have been highly competitive within our league and brigade, This year I am also serving as the Rifle team Commander. Last year I served as the Battalion Adjutant, also known as the S-1. After High School, I plan to attend Anderson University and major in Chrisitan Studies. The past 2 years for the battalion have been crazy due to COVID-19. This year I plan to reestablish our high standards in order to keep the Blythewood JROTC Legacy going. I plan to prioritize training so that our young cadets can continue to grow and flourish into strong leaders. As the Battalion Commander, I am responsible and will oversee everything that the Battalion does and fails to do. I plan to use this position to challenge not only my subordinates but myself as well. I believe this will be a new beginning for the Bengal Battalion. Go Bengals!
Hi, I am Tia Pittman. I am the Battalion Executive Officer for the 2021-2022 school year. I am a senior, this is my fourth semester in JROTC which makes me a LET 2B. In my four semesters, I have served as an S3 rep and a Company Executive Officer. I have also served as the Academic Team Commander. I am very active outside of this Program, A few organizations I am a part of are Blythewood Girl Up, National Beta Club, Teacher Cadet, and many others. I also work as a shift leader at a Fast Food Restaurant. My goal this year is to make an impact on each and every cadet in this program. Another goal I have is to also learn as much as I teach and share with others. I am excited to be back in-person this year and ready to have a great year.
Hello! My name is Chloe Franco, I am the Battalion Command Sergeant Major for the 2021-2022 school year! I am a senior in high school and this will be my fourth semester in JROTC making me a LET 2b. I am on two of the activity teams JROTC provides which are the Raider team and Rifle team. I am also one of the captains of the Blythewood Wrestling team. I take integrity and discipline very seriously and have high expectations for myself and others. My goal for this year is to not only challenge myself and set the example for our new and upcoming NCOs but to construct an environment that is comparable to that of a family. As well as a place of motivation in order to excel beyond our potentials! I am absolutely thrilled about this opportunity and look forward to the future! Let’s make this year a wonderful one! Go Bengal Battalion! Additionally, one piece of advice from you Battalion Command Sergeant major is Dedication + Determination = Domination so try in everything that you do and or wish to do!
