MTO 3: Implements a cycle of quantitative and qualitative research that leads to improved student achievement.
Sometimes teaching isn't all about teaching and content management - as this is also a science. In that line of thinking, scientists need to do research to keep up with modern times. As per PSED 495 - Methods in Teaching Science - I conducted research on how students respond to learning strategies. While doing demonstrations for a laboratory in a conceptual physics class, those classes improved their understanding of the content threefold than the class which did not. Ergo, it's important for students to actually observe science before doing science, so they can model such behaviors. This allowed me to show how important doing science with purpose is - simply messing around and finding out is not sufficient.
