I have a Master's degree in elementary education from University of Maryland Baltimore Campus. I am currently obtaining my Library Media Specialist Master's degree from McDaniel College. I was an elementary school teacher as a fourth and fifth grade teacher, prior to working here as a librarian at Baltimore Highlands. have only been a librarian for a short time, but I have been a teacher for 5 years and working with children for over 20 years. My hobbies include camping, hiking, traveling, baking, reading, and spending time with my family. I am the proud mother of two daughters, age 12 and 9 years old. I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you and learning about your interests, hobbies, families, and favorite books. Here is a personal message to my students and the teachers I will be working with over the years.

To my students:

I am delighted to be your school librarian. My job as your librarian includes:

  • Helping you find and read great books

  • Help you learn from books and have great conversations about them.

  • Helping you understand how to use a computer and find topics on the computer you are interested in.

  • Teach you important research and digital citizenship skills.

  • I am also here to help you work well with others and talk about what you are learning in a meaningful way.

To staff:

I look forward to working with you in the upcoming years and collaborating with you to help your students learn the BCPS curriculum. My job is to help my students find and read great literature, develop research skill, gain knowledge on a variety of topics for school and personal interest, and become deep and critical thinkers.
