NATIONAL LIBRARIAN’S DAY CELEBRATIONS

On 12th August 2025, the National Librarian’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at BGS National Public School, Hulimavu, highlighting the enduring value of books, libraries, and knowledge-sharing. The celebration was graced by the presence of Smt. Ananthalakshmi B, Principal of HMV International School, as the Chief Guest. The Annual Report of the Library Department was presented by Mr. Ravi, Head of the Department of Library. 

Students from Classes 8 to 10 delivered engaging speeches on the power of books, shared book reviews, and spoke about eminent Indian scientists. Adding vibrancy to the program, a thematic fashion show based on Indian gods, goddesses, and the Mahabharata enthralled the audience. The gathering also witnessed an informative presentation on the evolution of libraries and a captivating video showcase of the Trinity University Library. The event concluded with an award ceremony, where the school’s Principal, Dr. Malini M. Dutta, honoured winners of various library quizzes conducted over the academic year. The celebration successfully combined knowledge, creativity, and cultural heritage, leaving a lasting impression on students and guests alike.
