BGS National Public School Library – Where Every Book Opens a New World

The BGS National Public School Library is the heart of our school community. A warm, vibrant, and welcoming space where curiosity comes alive, imagination takes flight, and a love for learning grows. It is much more than a place filled with books; it is a joyful learning environment where students are encouraged to read, explore, discover, question, and dream.

With a thoughtfully curated collection of over 31,000 books, including fiction, non-fiction, biographies, encyclopedias, reference materials, and digital resources, the library caters to learners from Pre-Primary to Senior Secondary. Every visit to the library offers students an opportunity to discover something new, broaden their horizons, and develop a deeper appreciation for knowledge and learning.

The library goes beyond books to create meaningful learning experiences. Through engaging programmes such as author interactions, storytelling sessions, book reviews, thematic quizzes, reading activities, and research based learning. Students are encouraged to express themselves, think creatively, develop critical thinking skills, and become confident lifelong learners.

Under the able guidance, constant support, and visionary leadership of our respected Principal, Dr. Malini M. Dutta, the library continues to grow as a vibrant centre of learning. Led by Mr. Ravi K, Head of the Department and a passionate, forward-thinking librarian, it has evolved into a digitally connected learning hub, bringing together books, technology, ideas, and opportunities for exploration.
