Department of Library and Information Centre, BGS National Public School, successfully organized a series of intellectually stimulating quiz competitions for students of Grades VII, VIII, and IX.
The quizzes were conducted on the themes “Indian Space and Defence Sectors,” and “Indian Freedom Fighters,” with the objective of enhancing students’ awareness of India’s scientific achievements, national heritage, and freedom struggle.
The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students demonstrating impressive knowledge, analytical thinking, and a strong competitive spirit. The events provided an engaging platform for learners to go beyond textbooks and develop a deeper understanding of India’s historical and contemporary contributions.
The winners were honoured with medals and certificates by Principal Dr. Malini M. Dutta, who appreciated the students for their confidence, thorough preparation, and commendable performance. She also lauded the initiative taken by the Library Department in promoting knowledge-based learning and fostering intellectual curiosity beyond the classroom.
The quiz competitions reaffirmed the school’s commitment to holistic education and highlighted the library’s role as a dynamic learning hub that nurtures informed, aware, and responsible citizens.
