Privacy Policy
Effective date: 28 September 2026
Effective date: 28 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BetStopInfo handles personal information on the website currently published at https://sites.google.com/view/betstopinfo
BetStopInfo is an independent consumer information website. It is not BetStop — the National Self-Exclusion Register — and does not operate a wagering service.
This policy is written with reference to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) where they apply.
BetStopInfo is designed to collect as little personal information as reasonably necessary.
If you contact us through the website form, we may receive:
your name;
email address you choose to type into the form;
subject;
message;
any information you voluntarily include in that message.
Do not send identity documents, passwords, banking details, wagering account credentials, medical records or other sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary and specifically requested.
There is no published email address for correspondence. Use the contact form on the Contact page.
The site is hosted on Google Sites. Google’s infrastructure may automatically process technical information needed to deliver and secure the page. That may include IP address, date and time of a request, requested page, browser or device information, basic server logs, and error or security-event information.
We do not use this information to create gambling profiles or to provide personalised wagering content.
BetStopInfo uses strictly necessary browser storage to remember whether a visitor has confirmed that they are 18 or older. The age gate does not require a date of birth and does not verify identity.
Privacy Policy and Terms of Use should remain reachable without passing the age gate.
BetStopInfo does not currently use Google Analytics as an analytics product added by BetStopInfo.
Because the site runs on Google Sites, Google may set its own technical cookies or similar technologies to operate the host. BetStopInfo does not use advertising cookies to create behavioural profiles for wagering promotion.
If tracking changes materially, this policy should be updated first.
Personal information from the contact form may be used to respond to the enquiry, handle a correction or privacy request, maintain security, diagnose problems, prevent misuse, keep a record of correspondence, or meet a legal obligation.
It is not used for wagering promotion.
Limited information may be processed by providers needed to run the site. The current host is Google (Google Sites). Other categories may include security tools or form handling that Google Sites provides.
BetStopInfo does not sell personal information to wagering operators.
The editorial project is intended for readers in Australia. The live host is Google Sites, so technical processing may occur on Google infrastructure, including outside Australia, as part of how that host works.
BetStopInfo does not separately send contact-form content to wagering operators or to overseas recipients as an editorial practice.
Correspondence from the contact form is kept only as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, a correction, a privacy request, a security issue, or a legal requirement. Information that is no longer required should be deleted or de-identified where appropriate.
Reasonable steps are taken to protect personal information. No internet service is perfectly secure. Do not put sensitive documents in an ordinary website form.
If BetStopInfo holds personal information about you from the contact form, you may ask what is held and request correction through that form. Enough detail may be needed to confirm the request relates to you.
Use the Contact page form. Explain the issue. We aim to respond within a reasonable period.
An unresolved privacy complaint may also be taken to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the Privacy Act applies. Complaints are generally raised with the organisation first.

External sites (BetStop, ACMA, legislation, Gambling Help Online) have their own privacy practices.
The site is intended for people aged 18 or older. It does not knowingly seek personal information from children.
A revised policy will show a new effective date.
