SAP PP (Production Planning) is the SAP module that decides what a factory should make, when and with which resources, and then tracks the actual production. It turns sales demand and forecasts into a production plan, checks material availability through MRP, schedules work centres, releases production orders to the shop floor and records what was produced and consumed.
PP is used wherever physical products are manufactured: automotive parts, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, electronics and heavy engineering. It connects closely with materials management (for components), quality management (for inspections) and controlling (for production costs), so PP consultants tend to understand the whole plant, not just one process.
Mechanical, production and industrial engineers looking for an SAP production planning course
Diploma holders and engineering graduates who want to move from the shop floor to SAP roles
Production planners, schedulers and supply-chain staff who already use SAP
SAP PP end users who want to understand configuration, not just transactions
Manufacturing professionals planning a switch to ERP consulting
No coding is needed. A basic understanding of how factories plan and make products is the most useful background.
