Rumors that shocked fans of a popular K-Pop group, NCT, wanting to held a concert in Malaysia were widely circulated on social media, particularly Twitter.

A tweet posted on social media by television presenter Hany Fadzil provoked a quick resistance from NCTzens (NCT’s fan club) of the boyband group NCT.

This speculation occurs because only NCT is known to have many subunits therefore NCTzens assumes that the rumor has something to do with their favorite boy band group.

The tweet, which received thousands of retweets, showed a good reaction from fans regarding the rumors that spread on the internet.

Many fans are hoping that NCT will come to Malaysia, as NCT has never held a concert in Malaysia.

NCT, which consists of four sub units namely NCT 127, NCT Dream, NCT U and WayV, makes more fans believe that the rumor of the K-Pop group that is mentioned coming to Malaysia is theirs.

According to fifiesdreams, a Twitter user, NCT Dream has never come to Malaysia because the target audience is mostly from other Southeast Asian countries.

A tweet that made fans even more confident with their assumptions on the so-called pending arrival of NCT to Malaysia.

According to asiantoday.co.kr, it is stated that the NCT Dream is preparing for their first global tour schedule after their comeback activities in April.

NCT Dream has received positive feedback from fans, even though they have never held a concert after their 7 members were completed.

This is because fans wanted NCT Dream to be reunited after Mark returned to the group after the graduation ceremony done by SM Entertainment.

Although the sub-unit is supposed to follow an age-based entry and graduation system, where members will leave after reaching 20 years of age, this system has since been abolished by SM Entertainment.

According to Hanteo chart data released on March 29, NCT Dream's second full album, 'Glitch Mode', already sold 703,700 copies on its first day.

Furthermore, the group has already sold over one million album copies within a week of the first week of sales being over.

Suhaila Mitshal, 22, an NCT fan said, as stated by Hany’s tweet, the rumored group consists of sub-units; therefore, NCT is the only group that clearly has those.

"I've been fond of NCT for about a year and my favourite sub unit is NCT Dream and hope that they will come to Malaysia," she said during an interview with Berita DIMENsi via Instagram.

She also stated that since NCT had never held a concert in Malaysia, many fans were looking forward to the group's concert.

“So, if NCT comes to Malaysia, it will be a wonderful experience for all NCTzens in Malaysia because they will be able to see their idol,” she added.

Norain Sahrin, 22, also a fan of NCT gave an opinion that if NCT came to Malaysia, she and even other fans would be happy to see their favorite artists perform live.

"This is the greatest chance to see my favourite groups perform in my country and see them live," Norain said during an interview with Berita DIMENSi via WhatsApp.

This rumor will remain unanswered until the announcement of which K-Pop group will come to Malaysia.
