MELATI FOOD AND HEALTH FESTIVAL
SHAH ALAM: Melati College has organised a six-day Melati Food and Health Festival from December 13 to 18, 2022, with the purpose of creating a sense of belonging among Melati residents and the outside community.
This festival has allowed all Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) staff and students to participate while also providing useful information along with enjoyable activities.
Melati Food & Health Festival Program Director, Nurul Shuhada Mohammad Rosli, 22, said this is one of the efforts to collect funds and hand over a small donation to the in-need organisations.
Nurul Shuhada mentioned that the festival was a success as it received great responses from the UiTM community.

“This collaboration festival between Melati college, Teratai college and Malaysia’s Pusat Darah Negara (PDN) has brought interesting events such as Uni-Verse Fest, Nutrition & Menstrual Talk: “Wanita Sihat, Wanita Hebat”, Colour Fun Run and more,” she added.
The festival had more than 15 vendors joining the Food Bazaar beyond offering foodies a taste of particularly good food and drink.
The festival begins with the "Blood Donation Campaign," which seeks to help Pusat Darah Negara to supply adequate blood to health facilities.

A Clinical Nutritionist from Al-Sultan Abdullah Hospital UiTM Puncak Alam, Farah Farhana Hashim gave a talk on "Nutrition and Menstrual" on the second day to provide students with adequate knowledge on nutrition and menstruation.
Quantity Surveying student, Amirah Amriee, 22 said that this festival can help the students to release their stress, since they have to deal with assignment deadlines as it is almost the end of the semester.
Amira joined Uni-Verse Fest to have fun and release her stress.
“Apart from releasing stress, students can also get the chance to meet new people and make some new friends while enjoying the event.
“The most interesting attraction was the Uni-verse Fest where we can get the chance to enjoy performances from well-known artists such as Insomniacks, Alyph, Sonaone and many more,” Amira said.
