KUALA LUMPUR: After two decades blackout from the industry, Marcell Siahaan is now back rocking the stage in Malaysia, winning the hearts of millennials with his songs live at Zepp Kuala Lumpur last December.

The Marcell Dua Dekade Concert is a collaboration between the final year Public Relations students from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), better known as, The PRecise Agency, and The Jay Events & Media.

The Indonesian-born singer, best known for his R&B, soul and ballad tunes such as 'Takkan Terganti' and 'Hanya Memuji'.

“This fulfilled the intention as fans from different ages and genders were happily harmonizing representation of his much-loved songs in conjunction with his two-decade career as a successful artist.”

“The audience wants to sing along to my songs, not just watch me perform them. So it’s important for me to make the audience happy,” said Marcell.

Fans are also anticipating Marcell's brand-new songs, including 'Menunggu' and 'Akhir Cinta' which he wrote to celebrate his 44th birthday on September 21 of last year.

The two hours concert was filled with jokes and casual conversations, and definitely melted fans’ hearts when a lucky fan was chosen by Marcell to sing 'Takkan Terganti' with him.

“The Jay Events and Media approached me for collaboration because I had been working with them as a part-time, so I said why not because this opportunity is good for me and my classmates, and our lecturer, Sir Abuzar, agreed and said it was an interesting idea,

“As far as I am aware, no student has ever conducted a concert as a final year project. Why accept less when you can accomplish more? I regularly host and participate in events, and this time I brought all of my classmates to observe what it is like to conduct a concert," said Nabil during an interview with the DIMENSi team.
