DONATION WITH PURCHASE AT PUB FUND FEST

SHAH ALAM: Almost 1000 visitors attended the Pub Fund Fest festival under publishing students, School of Communication and Media College of Computing, Informatics and Media Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam, which lasted for three days, last December.

This is an initiative for students in their last year of publication to generate money so that they can compete successfully in the Siri Kembara Akademik Penerbitan (SIKAP) project.

Project Manager of Pub Fund Fest, Nur Dania Athirah Che Kadir, 24, said the objective of the festival is mainly for the students to apply their entrepreneurship skills.

"In addition, the objective of this festival is also related to the team's leadership and skills in building the entire event," added Nur Dania.

The carnival has more than 15 vendors, including Mentai Co., which offers  Japanese lunch boxes, Ngopi, which sells a variety of hot and iced coffees, and Cinnaboy Cinnamon Rolls, which provides a variety of cinnamon rolls with new flavours and more.

“The most interesting attraction was the mini concert where they invited a few new talents to join the floor to sing.” she said.

Semester four student at the College of Computing, Informatics, and Media's School of Communication and Media Studies, Sarah Aqilah Mohd Azizi, 23, said she went to the festival for three days in a row because there were many interesting sales, including delicious food at reasonable prices.

“There are a number of events that are taking place throughout the festival, such as the sale of food and performances given by students, and attendees appear to be enjoying themselves.

"It was hoped that next semester's publishing students will be able to organize more interesting activities at the forthcoming Pub Fund Festival, attracting more people and raising more funds," she added.
