COLOUR FUN RUN ENCOURAGES UITM STUDENTS TO BE HEALTHY AND PRODUCTIVE

SHAH ALAM: The Colour Fun Run, organized by Melati College collaborating with Teratai College at Platinum Hall, Melati College, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam campus on last December was an effort to bring a healthy and productive generation.

Participants received breakfast and three colored powders just before the marathon began so they could throw them to other runners.

UiTM Colour Fun Run promotes a healthy lifestyle.

The director of Colour Fun Run, Nurul Humaira Zainun Bakri, said this activity is meant to encourage the UiTM generation, specifically Melati and Teratai College residents, to adopt a better lifestyle with the theme of sporting campus.

This effort is one of the ways in realizing the goal of producing students who are proactive, progressive and competitive in line with the theme brought.

“Besides, this collaboration event between Melati college and Teratai college has brought interesting prizes to 40 top runners,” she said.

About 1200 students participated in the UiTM Colour Fun Run, which involves running around  the UiTM Shah Alam campus while being showered in colorful powders.

Participants, Farah Hanisa Azmi, 21, said this activity can relieve stress as students are currently busy with assignments.

“Apart from releasing stress, students can also appreciate the surrounding and natural area while running,” she said.

This activity has seven checkpoints and was officiated by Colour Fun Run Advisor, Nur Syazwani Ahamad Razali.

The prize presentation ceremony was presented by the Principal of Melati College, Associate Professor Dr. Nor Aizam Adnan.
