Here is me and Ben Franklin, hanging out at the Independence Hall Visitor's Center in Philadelphia!
Hello there! My name is Morgan Bentley, and this is my portfolio! I graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education. My content foci is ELA and Social Studies! My experience in the classroom is wide ranging between my student teaching and time as a substitute teacher. I have taught in rural, suburban, and urban settings, and grades K-8. My student teaching experience was specifically middle level, in grades 7 and 8 in ELA, Social Studies, and Math classrooms.
Education has always been a passion of mine! I have always wanted to be a teacher, and I am so excited to begin my journey as an middle level educator! My highest priority for my classroom is to create a safe equitable learning environment that encourages and celebrates diversity. I strongly believe that students should be exposed to varied perspectives and experiences to provide them the tools to grow.
Portfolio Rationale
I firmly believe that this portfolio is a reflection of the work I have created and implemented during my time at Kutztown University. I have chosen artifacts that align with INTASC Core Teaching Standards, and demonstrate my understanding of what it means to be a quality educator. Each artifact has been chosen carefully that both demonstrate the correlating INTASC and its relevance.
Everything presented in this portfolio is solely original, and was created while in program. Some of the artifacts include lessons, materials, certifications, and other examples of my qualifications as a teacher. I have also included my resume, transcript, and philosophy of education to view at your leisure. To get in touch with me, please visit the Contact page!
