I stumbled onto the existence of OBS (Open Broadcast System) in a casual conversation with one of my co-workers, with just the explanation that streaming content makers use it to add effects in live videos. I looked into it and have come to learn now that due to its open source design, it has an ever growing community of users adding to the playbook of what it can do. In my own experimentation I have not only discovered that it can be used to make a live presentation a lot more exciting, unique and effective, but you can also do a lot of weird and experimental things with it. Fort example you can set media to be queued with hotkeys, create layering outputs video with different chroma key effects, and repeat video feeds to create interesting and even kaleidoscopic video effects. I have not created any streaming content with it just yet, but its never too late to try something new.
