Using Video to Improve Learner Instructor Relationships

This is an article I wrote for the "Get Inspired" section of my department's site. Various people including other instructional designers, instructors, managers, and more write articles on a variety of topics to provide advice and a place for discussion on issues related to instructional design and technology.

I wrote this piece to discuss my passion for the variety of ways instructors can bring more of a human presense into their online courses through the use of some thoughtful video making. I write about the why, where and how of this concept, offering examples, arguments, and my own professional experience. Check it out!

Using Video to Improve Learner-Instructor Relationships

This is a presentation I gave to my department to accompany the article. It reflects the same ideas and goals and was delivered through one of our monthly Digital Download sessions offered once a month to faculty and staff across the campus.
