The Mechanical Engineering core course "Component Design” at CU Boulder is tasked with the start-to-finish design and fabrication of a drill powered tricycle as a semester-long competitive project. As the project manager of team "Knut-Send It", I facilitated the design, fabrication, and communication efforts crucial to the success of our team. Having little to know prior understand of bike design forced me to learn new skills fast in order to complete the project before our class competition deadline. This project challenged my technical skills in mechanical component design, forced me to overcome a multitude of challenges, and pushed me to improve my leadership and communication skills.
