More About Me
Hey, I'm Ben, a senior at CU Boulder majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Energy Engineering. For as long as I can remember I have been curious about the world around me, and infatuated by technology development. I believe it is this innate curiosity, and drive for understanding that has led me down my engineering pathway.
I come from a background in competitive sports. Following my days as a 3-sport athlete in high school, I played collegiate football at the full-scholarship division 2 level. The accumulation of years of training, competing under pressure, and battling physical adversities have instilled discipline and habits that have carried over into all aspects of my life.
I have a great desire to work in the renewable and sustainable energy field after graduation. I hope to develop technologies that improve energy efficiency whilst reducing harmful emissions. As the president of the CU Energy Club, I am passionate about the growing sustainable energy sector & getting fellow students involved and connected with companies and researchers within the industry.
I spend my time outside of my coursework and personal engineering endeavors & projects doing a variety of extracurricular activities and continue to be just as active as I was during my days in competitive athletics. I enjoy hiking with friends, surfing, snowboarding, strength training, golf, endurance athletics (currently training for Boulder Marathon), and spending time outdoors with my family and friends
