This Unit is a combination of Shrine Brothers formed to entertain both children and adults with comedic antics. We dress either in Clown costumes with funny wigs & red noses and as Keystone Cops of the roaring 20's. The typical Keystone Cop attire is similar to those like the English “Bobbies” and portrayed in the old movies of the 1920's and 30's. The Clowns entertain with funny skits, run around funny cars, and tie balloons. While the Keystone Cops are very slap-stick like, as well. They rely on speed and numbers to achieve their comedy, instead of sophisticated wit. We have several antique autos and even a 1920 Paddy Wagon. Our job is to “Bring More Laughter Than Tears” and “Play so that Children May”. All of this for the Shriners Children's Hospital. We do several parades a year and a few community gigs including car shows. A member may choose which they would rather be, or at certain times be either one the situation calls for.
