Bulating - Sa Marinduque nangangahulugan itong mga taong putik o mga bulating na namamanata tuwing Semana Santa.
Bulating is a tradition of Barangay Malbog, Boac, Marinduque. Residents put mud all over their bodies as ritual symbolizing their cleansing of sins, praising God and giving thanks for healing their illnesses. This tradition has roots in Elma Ogayre's family including me. Her great-great-grandfather named Julian Ogayre, praying for his sick child healing, fulfilled his promise by covering himself in a mud for a Year, It was Julian Ogayre sons Jose and Simprocio continued this tradition during the Holy week. Elma Ogayre, my aunt, credits herself by joining the bulating for curing her malady.
