These sensitizations contribute to make our populations aware of the dangers of desertification, to encourage reforestation, the protection of nature, of the environment in order to make it more viable and healthy ... During these work camps many plants are planted.
*Goals :
Reforestation site environmental awareness
The activities of this site will essentially consist of selecting, with the help of the farmers, nurseries with fertilizing and forest species in order to prepare for the next reforestation season. An awareness campaign on the consequences of the uncontrolled felling of trees and bush fires will be organized to appeal to the conscience of the peasants who engage in these dangerous practices.
To mark their passage in the host community, the volunteers will organize animation and environmental education for the young people of the said community.
THE WORKS
It consists of filling sachets with sand and manure, putting the nurseries in it and watering them. Then, they will clear the plots to reforest and then plant the plants. JUSTIFICATION OF THE PROJECT
Togo is a country in West Africa, characterized by socio-economic instability, which continues to weaken the country, resulting in poor functioning of the real structures for the protection and promotion of the rights of the child, a failure of the traditional social solidarity system.
Added to these problems are those particularly related to children. They are often neglected, abandoned or even rejected by their parents because of the extreme poverty in which they live.
The majority of these children are absent from school, present in the streets, in public places, in markets and even in the city's dumping grounds. They face enormous problems on a daily basis: rape, theft, housing, food, education and access to primary health care. For these reasons they are forced to enter the job market where they are exploited in small works of door done, shoeshine, cleaner and caretakers of cars and motorcycles, sellers of ice water and juice fruits. Others engage in alcohol, tobacco and prostitution, exposing themselves to dangers like STIs, HIV / AIDS and unwanted pregnancies, the authorship of which is often difficult to determine. This project was born to support the government in its efforts, by improving the living conditions of the latter, to create a favorable living environment for them, and to meet the regulations of the United Nations Charter on the rights of children. Thus, the BEAPD-TOGO Association took the initiative to take care of children temporarily and long-term through internships or work camps in Sos, in order to lighten the burdens of parents and promote family reintegration, promotion , psychological support, protection of children's rights.
