Real Data, Real Change for Baltimore!
Baltimore Community Weather Network (BCWN) is a university, city, and community partnership that has deployed a network of community-based weather instruments to measure the weather across Baltimore City. The publicly-available data from this network are being used to map urban heat and rainfall, to evaluation urban models, and to access proposed mitigation strategies. In addition, the network provides direct community involvement, with resulting benefits of increased community engagement, education, and empowerment.
