Track is for everyone — you do NOT need to be in shape before the season starts.
But doing a few small things now will make the first week feel much easier.
Be Active a Little Each Day
You don’t need workouts — just move.
Go for a walk or jog
Play outside
Shoot hoops
Ride a bike
Play tag or a sport
10–20 minutes a day helps a lot.
Practice Wearing Running Shoes
Wear athletic shoes instead of crocs/boots more often so your feet adjust before practices start.
Start Hydrating
Drink more water during the day — not just at practice.
Being hydrated makes running feel much easier.
Practice starts immediately after school at the track
Bring a water bottle every day
