BCMS CHEER PHILOSOPHY

At Black Canyon Middle School, we believe that cheerleading is an exciting and rewarding sport that focuses on kindness, positivity, school spirit, and creating lasting friendships. In addition to this, athletes will develop many life skills such as balance, goal setting, cooperation, teamwork, self-motivation and self confidence. Athletes are challenged to reach their full potential and encouraged to develop emotional maturity.

We believe that being chosen to represent Black Canyon as a cheerleader is both an honor and a privilege. A BCMS Cheerleader is at the forefront as a representative of our school and is expected to adhere to a strict code of conduct with honor at all times, both on and off campus.

 It is the purpose of the BCMS Cheer Team to promote and uphold team spirit, to develop good sportsmanship by example, and to support good relations in the community and between teams and squads.
