Please note that 1:1 tutoring opportunities require a bachelor's degree or higher. Classroom aide positions require a high school diploma or GED. Classroom Aides for GED and ESL Classes
Help students in our face-to-face group classes.
Class locations: BC3 Main Campus, BC3 Cranberry, First United Methodist Church (Butler, PA).
One or two class meetings per week. Each class is 2.5-3 hours long. Aide placements last for one semester.
Our flexible scheduling can accommodate volunteers' vacation or travel schedules.
Students in these classes generally need help with basic math, reading comprehension, and English conversation.
A short training is required prior to class placement.
Butler Prison Tutors and Aides
Help students in our Butler County Prison GED program (men's class or women's class).
One or two class meetings per week. Each class is 1.5-3 hours long.
Students in these classes generally need help with high school level English, math, social studies, and science.
Attendance at Butler County Prison's volunteer orientation is required (offered on the 1st Friday of each month).
