Many new volunteers are curious about what kinds of skills our students need to learn. One way we determine this is by giving every student a skills pretest when they first enter our program. Then after a period of instruction (usually 50-100 hours) we give students another test to check their progress. Below you can find some sample test items.
These tests are given to students whose goal is to earn their GED or improve their general math and reading skills. The sample test items are arranged in order from A (easiest) to D (hardest).
