The first stage of the design process is to identify the need and write a short statement of the problem. this is also commonly known as 'Problem Situation'. A designer must have a clear idea of what he or she is aiming to achieve before thinking about the solution.

Add your short statement to your Google Slide: Try saying something like: "I have a request from my client to create a new design for a musical instrument with six or eight notes to play a popular tune".
