Once the problem is understood in detail, it is time to think about how to solve the problem. Clear sketches and drawings are used to help explain or communicate the idea to other people. Quick sketches with explanatory notes are used to present the first or initial ideas. The aim is to explore a wide range of ideas at this stage without spending too much time in any one idea.
