In the first assignment I tried to discover myself, to face that stranger in me, and the stranger in others around me, and how we all wear masks that cover the real one of us, the one we don't want other people see. In the second assignment, we talked about our heroes or villains, people who we have a strong feelings to, to show another side of them, and to see how simple they look, but how complicated they are. And we had to record an audio with the person we choose, that part was helpful, because I got the opportunity to to hear about the experience of my hero. In the third assignment "Place of Mind" we talked about our daily routine, we discovered the unfamiliarity of our familiar places, or the ones we think they're familiar. In the forth assignment was about hatred, and hate groups in the United States and around the world. I personally loved this assignment, It asked us to step on a person shoes, and see how the world looks in their perspectives, and how a person can have that much of hate to someone else. We had to write a first person narrative that discusses this global issue and shows how we can control it in a proper way. The fifth assignment was emotionally very challenging for me, and that's was the purpose of the assignment. "Empathy challenge" was literally a challenge for me, and I guess it also was for other people who saw it. My whole purpose was to create an awareness that reminds people oh how much those innocent children are suffering from the war in their regions. We definitely can't stop the war, and save those children souls by ourselves as a small class, or a group of a community college students, but at least we can help them by offering some donations that can provide a better life for them.
