Goal of BASAC
BASAC stands for "Behavior Academics Should Avoid Completely." This site collects experiences and behaviors that make academia uncomfortable or unwelcoming for some of its members. The "Training" aspect is that academics can browse these experiences, and use them as a resource to understand ways to modify their behavior. Our aim is to make the community more comfortable and welcoming for all.
At the moment we are trying to expand our experience database - please come forward if you have an experience to (anonymously) share! We also welcome multiple accounts of similar experiences, as these emphasize the issue at hand.
