Guide
🔴 This rat has a bite history. They bit and drew blood from Ruby or Jacob or both at least once, but usually not more. These rats were immediately retired from breeding. We will note if there are any issues that you need to remain aware of. In the cases of maternal aggression, the rat will have two dots, as maternal aggression tends to go away after the babies have matured. However, we feel it is important to remain transparent with a rat's history.
🟠 This rat has a permanent injury and/or is disabled. This rat will need extra medical care due to chronic upper respiratory infections (URI) or be of such an age that their health could turn quickly. They will need an educated and prepared home
🟡 This rat has temperamental or health issues. This rat is usually too shy to breed or suffers from URIs periodically. Functionally, they are normal pets, but are not of quality for breeding and will need extra care.
🟢 This is a perfectly normal rat. They have no issues and are not of an extreme age (most are under a year and a half).
What is a Guardian Home?
A Guardian Home is a home that keeps the rat but will return the rat if circumstances change. We are actively trying to find a way to keep as many rats as possible (Likely in a rented room through family) so this home would be keeping hopeful breeders, active breeding rats who are not pregnant, and my Heart Rats. There adoption fee is waved.
