Festschrift

In honor of Aelx's fortieth birthday - 'Festschrift' means 'feast-writing.' What you hold in your hands is a small feast of words prepared by those who care for you. And to whom you have given much for many years. I hope you will find here questions and answers (but not too many). Insights and illusions, worlds dark and fiery and brilliant in their beauty. Though maybe that's asking a bit too much. I hope what you find will make you happy. Surprised. Maybe even appreciated. For, truly, these stories were written expressly for you on the occasion of your fortieth birthday. I hope they follow you for many years to come.

Happy, happy birthday.
