The Ballard High School Alumni Association, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the students, faculty, and administration of Ballard High School. Through the generous contributions of alumni and supporters, our mission is to enhance the school's programs and activities, ensuring Ballard High School continues to be a world-class learning institution serving the Jefferson County, Kentucky community.
With a strong tradition of excellence, the Alumni Association is proud to unite Ballard graduates and supporters in fostering the ongoing success and legacy of our alma mater.
The Ballard High School Alumni Association, Inc. was founded in 2019 by Steve Gowers, Class of '72, in collaboration with then-Bruin principal Dr. Jason Neuss. That same year marked the groundbreaking of the new Ballard High School football stadium.
Since its establishment, the Alumni Association has dedicated countless hours of support and raised millions of dollars, all to benefit the school and its community.
At the Ballard High School Alumni Association, Inc., our mission is to support the students, faculty, and administration of Ballard High School while enriching its programs and activities. Our goal is to help Ballard High School continue to thrive as a world-class learning center for the benefit of the Jefferson County, Kentucky community.
We proudly offer a variety of programs that align with and further our mission.
The Ballard High School Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization, was established in 2019. Since its inception, the Ballard High School Alumni Association, Inc. has funded numerous impactful projects, including:
Installation of an artificial turf football field
Significant improvements to the stadium entrance
Design and renovation of student library facilities
Financial support for the construction of a field house for women’s field hockey
Major renovations and enhancements to the entrance of Ballard High
Athletic supplies
Music supplies
Technology for thr Arts program
Strength facility upgrades
Our current initiatives include the Sandy Allen Fine Arts Scholarship and financing much needed upgrades to the Sandy Allen Fine Art Building.
