ATTRIBUTION: how to properly order quotes and apply punctuation
Solve story problems by changing the format. Replace the story with alternative copy. It could be a Q&A, checklist, mini-stories or a series of quotes. The alternative fits where the story would have been, but provides a different way of covering the topic.
Sports coverage shouldn’t be terrible. But often unfamiliarity with sports terminology or the season’s outcome results in vague or fluff-filled stories. We need authentic sports coverage that truly covers the season. We need alternative copy.
