Ghosts Of The Argonne
In this faculty-driven research project, students were able to meet the owner of an M1897 French 75 cannon from WWI. After 3D scanning, recording, and using the cannon, an immersive VR experience was created where users could load and fire the cannon.
This project took place on Unreal Engine 5.2, where I integrated Wwise and designed a soundscape for. After communicating with the programmer, I used the Blueprint editor to add Wwise events for instances during the experience that needed sound.
Wilton House Audio Lead
Implemented SFX into Unreal scenes with default tools, and provided narrations for VR experience by recording in an Iso booth on Reaper, and mixing in Adobe Audition.

FIELD RECORDING
Through my work-study position at Shenandoah University, I performed fieldwork with the Sons of The American Revolution (SAR). We recorded at two locations, where I used an AT8035 mounted shotgun mic and Zoom Handy Recorder. I cleaned up the audio on Adobe Audition, removing noise and normalizing the recordings.
Workstudy Contributions
I contributed to the learning and project environment at the Shenandoah Center for Immersive Learning (SCiL). Knowing how to use the equipment and teaching others how to operate Reaper was a large priority for faculty and students.
I created pages on the SCiL lab's website, addressing various topics: equipment, signal flow, Reaper, how to run a session, plus learning and utilizing the Wwise Sound Engine: LINK
Afterward, I was provided with a budget to purchase new equipment. I created a spreadsheet, and we acquired a Mackie Mixing board, 1/4" and XLR cables, and Stedman metal pop filters.
