Badalona infrastructure isn't adequate to meet the needs of today's population.
The inaction of the responsible authorities contributes to the climate emergency, harms marine life, pollutes our waters and prevents us from using Badalona beach.
Contamination of Badalona beach and sea can also harm tourism, local hotels and businesses.
Families and investors who expect to find 'luxury beach apartments' in Badalona will be disappointed to find a polluted beach and sea, as well as lack of basic sanitary system.

The following initiatives will further increase pressure on the crumbling sewer infrastructure:
- new flats are being built, most notably in Gorg Mar and Canyadó neighbourhoods
- new hotel in Badalona Port is expected to be built by 2020
- there are plans to regenerate land North and South of the city into Badalona Innovation District
Cementing over permeable surfaces means that less water is absorbed by the ground. This further increases pressures on the sewage system.
