What we want

We want the problem of polluted seas and beaches at the top of every party's agenda.

Transparency

We want information and data that allows us to draw accurate conclusions about the safety and quality of water

• state of sea water on all Badalona beaches, including data from microbiological analysis
• accurate clear language used by Ajuntament de Badalona, responsible authorities and local media when reporting sea water contamination episodes to make this information accessible to all

Action

We want responsible authorities to:

• take immediate action to clean up, reduce and prevent beach and water pollution
• set out a plan of action with a clear timeline and short, medium and long-term priorities
• collaborate across political parties and government agencies to solve the problem, each taking responsibility for their area of expertise
• keep us informed

Commitment to the environment

We want recognition that environment issues are related and that they contribute to the global climate emergency.

We want to see investment in all Badalona services in line with today's evidence of the global climate crisis.

This includes, for example:

• better street cleaning
• raising awareness of environmental issues like littering
• better waste and recycling management in Badalona
• creating adequate facilities for waste and dog waste disposal
• decontaminating contaminated soils across Badalona

We want the local authorities to be proactive about these issues and not wait for concerned neighbourhoods or the opposition to complain about it.

We want the local authorities to execute expert recommendations already given to them. We aren't experts in this topic. That's why it's important that we collaborate and learn from those who are.
