CALL FOR PROJECT APPLICATIONS
Youth-Led Innovative Projects For Implementing the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework
OBJECTIVE OF THE CALL FOR PROJECTS
Mobilise, empower, and support African youth in designing and implementing innovative projects aligned with the goals of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
CONTEXT
From September 19 - 21, 2023, the 2nd African Youth Summit on Biodiversity will take place in Rabat, Morocco, organized by the Africa Chapter of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN Africa) in partnership with the African Wildlife Foundation and the Post 2020 Biodiversity Framework-EU Support Project. AYSB2023 presents an opportunity to harness the power and innovation of youth in realizing the four goals and 23 targets outlined in the Kunming Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. We invite all aspiring change-makers to submit a proposal for an innovative project that will take us on a path to living in harmony with nature.
As part of AYSB2023, ten proposals will be selected and allowed to present their ideas before a distinguished panel of grant experts. This interaction aims to provide constructive feedback, thereby contributing significantly to the transformation of these projects from concept to concrete reality. In addition, these proposals will be featured in the summit's final report, providing additional exposure and reaching a wider audience of stakeholders, potential collaborators, and supporters.
