While most videos in this collection are personal records, some attempt to tell the larger story of the Rainbow Gathering. This section brings together those longer and more considered works. It includes 'We Love You,' the best-known feature documentary about the gathering; the multi-part 'Warriors of the Rainbow'; independent films on freedom and self-governance; two multi-part studies of the contested 2015 Black Hills gathering; and 'Growing Up Rainbow,' in which people raised at the gatherings tell their own story. It closes with scholarship and books, including a religious-studies researcher's view of the European gatherings and a large illustrated book documenting more than fifty years of gathering. These works offer context and reflection that a vlog cannot, and several face the gathering's harder questions as well as its ideals.
