Covid-19 pandemic brought a 360-degree turnaround across all industries leading to downsizing, rightsizing, temporary shutdowns and cessations, at worst. To a positive extent, it creates an opportunity, growth and expansion to other companies in selected industries while others continue to strive and thrive while observing health protocols and parameters of safe people and working environment. Now that multiple vaccination programs were carried out, businesses prepare to face what comes ahead of this pandemic: the next and new normal.
This session aims to provide insights and information in facing a post Covid-19 environment considering changes brought by the pandemic in the companies that will serve as their strategic guide in keeping their respective entities thriving and maximizing the next normal while achieving their visions and objectives.
Scientific and social evidences showed that Covid-19 pandemic affects not only the health and economic aspect of the society, but the wellness of an individual. Individuals, particularly professionals, struggle to normalize the current conditions that are totally deviating from the norms ranging from the nature of work, social activities to familial and personal. Wellness of a professional is critical in rendering sound and reasonable actions and insights in a holistic perspective.
This session aims to give inference, advice and/or guidance about various approaches and coping mechanisms to achieve holistic wellness of an individual.
Downturns and recessions are challenging, but some businesses are not only able to come out intact, they are also able to seize opportunities to overtake competition and position themselves for future growth. However, the COVID-19 pandemic is dramatically different from previous crises. It came almost out of nowhere, wherein businesses were more prepared than they could have realized: after several years of disruption, many companies had already embarked on initiatives.
These preparations have embedded greater resilience and agility in finance function and the wider organization, which in some cases they were able to leverage to avoid the pandemic’s worst economic impacts. But the pandemic has also shown shortcomings in analytics, scenario modelling and planning, leaving some CFOs struggling to answer questions about the severity of the situation and how to best respond.
This roundtable discussion aims to provide information, insights and inspirations from seasoned CFOs of various sectors in the country. These information and insights might be actionable to the respective companies of each participant uniquely applicable to each company. The participants will have the opportunity to listen and learn practical strategies that might be what they need timely to help their respective companies respond and recover from the ill effects of COVID-19.
