I’m not ashamed of being a big geeky dork. I think this allowed me to have a bit more open-minded approach to friends and relationships, work and life-partner living arrangements. Because I see things more... let's call it mathematically. My filters are less emotional or drama-based and there is a balance between the mathematical/logical and artistic/spiritual principles that guide my daily choices. I have learned to constantly fight the urge to judge others (a product of my upbringing) and/or let my emotions & my own drama blind me to their methods. Instead, I choose to remain open to new ideas and experiences no matter the source or my comfort level with it. There is a definite point in personal growth where you can't trust your "instincts" (at least those you learned growing up) to guide you since you will no longer be that person AFTER some growth. This allows my natural wonder and child-like fascination with learning and experiencing new things to take little adventures and explore life freely without my usual limitations, that would otherwise hinder my growth.
Having suffered from debilitating shyness as a child (including stuttering and obsessive nail biting), failed relationships (both personal and business), emotional & physical pain (including being the victim mental abuse by loved ones), I still had the desire to be more, to grow and find others that were in that same space.
Even with a decent upbringing, my parents loved me and I was never starving for food or a place to live. Life can still be tough when you seek growth & higher purpose. Even in the midst of the trials Life confronts me with, I've only ever been depressed about not meeting my personal goals and high expectations of myself and my personal promises. I never really looked at the fact that I was being oppressed by others while in the moment, it DID happen until I grew enough that I became aware of it then dealt with it and finally chose not to let it be part of my life any longer.
To me it is always my choice to be successful at reaching my goals, and to allow reward for my efforts and struggles. But I truly suffer when I have chosen to waste time & energy on those people, businesses, and distractions that don't reciprocate, especially with empty or broken promises of joining me in growing together. Resulting in losing energy that could have propelled me towards my own goals. I do however, always get through it and make the choice to move on and up to higher awareness. It's worth it.
Sometimes moving up requires stepping back or down first, in order to leap past obstacles. Using humility to achieve true growth, and acceptance of your current situation, coupled with the fact that you are both responsible for, and limited in, your ability to change your current situation.
It is this awareness of your current situation limiting your growth that will finally allow you to get beyond your current situation. It always feels like "52 card pick up" to me. Everything becomes chaotic and seems to be out of order but, YOU now have the power to reshuffle or organize the deck however you like. All your hard work is rewarded with the process of stacking your life neatly into piles of your design. Ignoring what should be left on the ground and bringing to the front what you are or want to be and how you can shine for others. Resistance gets completely destroyed when you get to the "screw it all!" phase of growth. I call it adopting the "Fuck It" attitude. You literally cannot give a fuck what happens next and aren't attached to a specific outcome. Good luck finding one, but if you find a true master of choas this is what they will teach you, and how to come to accept that chaotic energy as a powerful tool to literally burn through ANY resistance to achieving your overriding goal of GROWTH.
It took DECADES to develop this ability to humbly accept my current situation, as a result of EVERY conscious choice I've made (including those where I allowed myself to be manipulated), allowed me to grow quickly. This was hard won knowledge, as every bit of my growth has required me to be humble and accepting of my situation first, THEN to become aware of and deal with my own flaws, largely built by following other's plans for me rather than my own.
Not long after getting out and having adventures, some planned, but most simply experienced as they developed, seeing the real world versus what I thought it would be, I actually learned how to increase my awareness over time, to see and learn new principles.
When traveling the world having "adventures" while in the military, I began to see and apply the many principles Life had been presenting to me the whole time. I learned by my own exploration, usually with no help or guidance and feeling alone in the process, I chose personal growth via various pursuits including; martial arts, subtle energy healing, spiritual study and my results were immediate. Increasing awareness was the secret to seeing things in the first place. My own limits and limitations, how to develop my own version of ME, and even how to continuously increase awareness starting a positive spiral of perpetual growth and learning.
These new found principles were truly universal and could be directly applied to my geeky jobs & personal life, in fact, all facets of my life were impacted. Increased awareness truly allows you to see choices that are already in front of you, it helps you learn new ways to focus and see what is good for your growth.
To get past your own obstacles, simply increase your awareness, which allows you to clearly look at and focus on the principles that will help you build and sustain permanent growth the way you desire. No amount of advertising or manipulation by others can override YOUR awareness.
Once AWARENESS is increased, the PRINCIPLES can then be seen and felt and adopted by you it seems to only take an instant. True "principles" can be applied to ANY process/method/technique/aspect of your life.
An easy demonstration of a principle-based method is the one I like to start people with that will help them in determine how balanced their life is right now ...
I hope this will become a valuable principle-based learning (and teaching) tool for you to use throughout life.
NOT ONLY for seeing how balanced your life is at this moment, but also finding areas that need prioritisation so you can take immediate action towards balancing them with your IDEAL life.
Use this exact same exercise to measure ANY important items in your life, work, study anytime you want a visual representation of balance and what should take priority.
Utilizing principles in this way is actually quite simple and makes it easier to see through the confusion of seemingly infinite methods and techniques that are out there so you get to the heart of the things that truly resonate with the current version of yourself.
All by simply increasing your awareness. Which in turn, allows you to discover and apply these UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLES which help you increase your awareness even more, it is truly a healthy spiral. You can now Spiral in a positive direction for a change instead of the usual downward spiral we are ALL accustomed to. I’m sure after you start the positive Spiral there will be experiences where you have been so aware that you surprised yourself. I can't wait to hear about them.
This self awareness is also what will allow you to clearly define what method(s) are most effective for your learning.
What are your limits? Become more aware so you can press them, stretch them and excel beyond what you thought you were capable of.
Principles will suddenly appear from many sources, that seemed not to exist yesterday, and they will be the methods that work best for you, at this point in your life regardless of what you are seeking.
Until we can see more clearly with enhanced awareness, we are easily led, usually by marketing techniques, or some other form of manipulation, into methods/techniques that would otherwise never be part of our lives. Ones which may not resonate with us and ultimately causing discord or disharmony and preventing the very attainment of the goals which sent us looking for a technique in the first place.
We allow our desire for instant gratification and shortcuts to take precedence over our true awareness, so we suppress it. By suppressing our awareness we open ourselves to "opportunities" that really don't help us get anywhere. In fact, left unchecked, we may be conditioning ourselves to accept more of these invitations with ever decreasing awareness continuing a downward spiral that actually builds upon its own momentum preventing a true search for our best solutions. Remember YOU choose, YOU are responsible, and bad choices lead to more bad choices, not accepting responsibility for them, delays your awakening and ability to break out of the negative cycle.
Lack of self awareness is never a goal of ours, I’m sure of it, yet we get drawn into; drama, marketing and hype. But, when you begin to see more clearly, positive opportunities and the most effective methods that surround you every day, on a regular basis, you will begin to see there is no other option than what is truly natural and healthy for you. Opportunity is yours for the taking.
into the person you know you want to be. With that gift you will begin to see the true nature of your choices, good or bad, and what opportunity surrounds you. Increased awareness of YOU allows you to see exactly what effect (if any) a particular method is having on you, both positive and negative. Avoiding wasted time & energy that is not helping you achieve your intended goals while simultaneously increasing your chances of finding those that do.
You'll begin to learn “by principle” making it easier to become ever more aware. This is how we begin a positive spiraling effect that builds upon its own strength, your own strength. The snowball effect is a positive non-vicious cycle in a world where so many of us get caught up in negative spirals that snowball out of control all too fast.
Then all that is left for this training is to teach AWARENESS by PRINCIPLE so that it can be shared with others who will share this positive energy spiral, perpetuating it, sustaining it, to help others increase their awareness of principles.
